Cursor
Lasso can delegate the coding task to the Cursor CLI. Cursor provides a wide range of models including Claude Sonnet 4.5, Claude Opus 4, GPT-4o, and GPT-4o mini.
Install the CLI
# Download Cursor from https://cursor.sh
cursor --versionLasso detects the binary with which cursor. Install it before starting lasso dev, or restart the dev server afterwards.
Run cursor once in a terminal and complete the login flow. Lasso inherits the credentials Cursor stores for your user, so there is no separate key to configure.
Select it in Lasso
Open the model picker in the overlay toolbar. Cursor appears as a group only when the binary is detected. Lasso runs cursor model list to discover available models, offering Claude Sonnet 4.5, Claude Opus 4, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, GPT-4o, and GPT-4o mini.
How a request runs
cursor agent run \
--non-interactive \
--model "claude-sonnet-4-5" \
"<lasso context>"--non-interactiveprevents interactive prompts that would block the workflow.- Lasso parses Cursor's output format to show progress messages and track task status.
- Authentication and permission prompts are detected and surfaced in the overlay.
Lasso passes the selected component context and expects a JSON patch proposal back, which becomes a reviewable diff. A request that has not finished within five minutes is stopped.
Permission requests
If Cursor asks for approval or input, Lasso pauses the task and shows the request in the overlay with Allow and Deny, then resumes the run with your answer.
Troubleshooting
- Authentication required: Run
cursorin a terminal and complete the sign-in process. - Model not found: Ensure the model name returned by
cursor model listmatches what you're trying to use. - Binary not detected: Restart
lasso devafter installing Cursor.
